Sabarmati Riverfront
Sabarmati Riverfront is a waterfront being developed along the banks of Sabarmati river in Ahmedabad, India. Proposed in the 1960s, the construction began in 2005. Since 2012, the waterfront is gradually opened to public as and when facilities are constructed and various facilities are actively under construction.
Sarkhej Roza
Sarkhej Roza comprises one of the most elegant and unique architectural complexes of Ahmadabad. In its architecture, Sarkhej Roza is an example of the early Islamic architectural culture of the region, which fused Islamic stylistic influences from Persia with indigenous Hindu and Jain features to form a composite "Indo-Saracenic" architectural style.
Sidi Saiyyed Mosque
The Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, built in 1573, is one of the most famous mosques of Ahmadabad. As per the marble stone tablet fixed on the wall of the mosque, it was built by Sidi Saeed (aka Sidi Saiyyed) an Abyssinian in the retinue of Bilal Jhajar Khan, General in the army of the last Sultan Shams-ud-Din Muzaffar Shah III of Gujarat Sultanate The mosque was built in the last year of the Sultanate of Gujarat.
Kankaria Lake
Kankaria is the biggest lake in Ahmadabad (in earliar days it used to known, name by Qutub Hojj). Where all kings, or badshah, used to do bath in this lake. of the city of Ahmadabad, Gujarat, India. With an approximate circumference of 1.4 miles (2.3 km), it represents the regale history of Ahmadabad.
Sabarmati Ashram
The very first name that pops into the mind at the mention of Ahmedabad is that of Mahatma Gandhi and Sabarmati Ashram. Once home to Bapu and being the centre of operations for the Indian freedom struggle, it is located on the banks of river Sabarmati. This place gives visitors an insight into the life and struggles of Mahatma Gandhi.
